Vision
In our nation, the Cooperative Movement should evolve into a key driver of a decentralized, labor-intensive economy that fosters rapid, balanced, equitable, and sustainable development. It is essential to raise awareness among the public about the advantages of the Cooperative Movement, ensuring it becomes a robust protector for the vulnerable and disadvantaged.
Mission
To achieve this vision, it is crucial to regularly conduct training camps, lecture series, seminars, and conferences aimed at empowering people to establish self-sustaining and self-reliant Cooperative institutions. Sahakar Bharati is dedicated to maintaining the autonomy of Cooperative institutions, shielding them from external control and political interference. To this end, Sahakar Bharati will actively pursue amendments to State and Central Cooperative Acts, in alignment with the 97th Constitutional Amendment.
Aims & Objectives
- Establish branches across the country to educate the public about the Cooperative Movement and Sahakar Bharati’s mission.
- Motivate individuals at the National, State, District, Taluka, and Village levels to promote, establish, and manage various types of need-based Cooperatives.
- Offer advisory services in techno-economic areas to assist Cooperatives in resolving operational challenges.
- Advocate on behalf of Cooperatives to State and Central Governments, RBI, NABARD, NHB, CBDT, NITI Aayog, and other relevant institutions regarding their promotion, formation, and functioning.
- Promote and undertake research, studies, and surveys in various fields, particularly those related to Cooperative, social, and economic sectors.
- Initiate and support projects aimed at improving socio-economic conditions in rural and tribal areas.
